As the year draws to a close, we at Community Seva Inc., want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the year, actually for the past decade!  YES, its been 10 YEARS since Community Seva began serving the unhoused community in the Bay Area!  Your generosity and dedicated support have played a crucial role in helping us make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

Reflecting on 2023: A Year of Achievements

This past year has been marked by significant achievements, thanks to the collective efforts of our donors, supporters, and volunteers. Together, we have:

• Expanded our Outreach: With your support, we’ve been able to extend our reach to even more individuals and families in need(see the numbers below). In addition to providing hot delicious meals every day of the year, we have been able to distribute brand new shoes, blankets and other winter essentials even before the start of the rainy winter season.
• Started a new Initiative:  Just last week, a 74-year-old unhoused person was released from the hospital with no place to go. We were able to provide interim shelter in a motel for him for five days. This is the beginning of a new and necessary program helping unhoused people deal with short term housing crises.
• Responded to Emergencies:  Whether it’s fire, floods, or instances of domestic violence, your support has allowed us to respond quickly to emergency appeals and provide timely relief to those affected.

Looking Ahead to 2024

• Central Kitchen: As we enter the new year, our commitment to positive change remains unwavering. With your continued support, our top priority for 2024 is to lease a space and build our own “Central Kitchen.” This will enable us to expand our meal service by 100%, to about 12,000 meals a month.
