Community Seva launched our footwear program in response to community surveys that highlighted hypothermia as a leading cause for death among the homeless community.

Many unhoused members were wearing torn shoes or walking barefoot for long periods through the rain and the cold, and this was leading to injuries, health diseases and in some cases, death.

Community Seva purchases new high quality footwear and socks to distribute to our unhoused community members in various encampments, parking lots, people sleeping on the streets and other locations where unhoused individuals gather.
