Community Seva held a very successful ‘Meal to Heal – Tree of Life Luncheon’ on November 17th, 2019. It was a success not only due to the amount of money raised, but also because of the awareness that was created about the issue of homelessness. Pastor Scott Wagers delivered a passionate message conveying that homelessness was not a choice. The Homeless Advocate Panel at the event busted some myths and prejudices that exist and shared stories that brought tears to people’s eyes. There was pin drop silence in a room full of 400 people during the panel discussion. Several awards were distributed during the event, including our “Tree of Life Award”, Youth awards and Volunteer appreciation awards. We thank all the sponsors, attendees and volunteers for your support!
