Community Seva 3rd Anniversary and Volunteer Appreciation Event

Community Seva held it’s 3rd Anniversary and Volunteer Appreciation event on August 27, 2016. It was a wonderful event where all our wonderful volunteers, many shelter leads, sponsors and supporters spent an enjoyable afternoon at Ortega Park in Sunnyvale. The volunteers had the opportunity to sign up for 2017 sevas and participated in face painting and enjoyed delicious food from Peacock Biryani & India Cash & Carry.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the representatives from various Shelters for giving us the overview of the homelessness problem in our community and for their appreciative comments regarding the role Community Seva volunteers who cook at their shelters.

From 100 pizzas a week to 20,000 meals, 1000+ blankets, 500 care bags and most importantly building a volunteer base of 700+ … all in a span of three years! This would not be possible without our volunteers.
